What is Limit Algebraically

Limit (numerical sequence) is one of the basic concepts of mathematical analysis. Hundreds and hundreds of theorems that define modern science are based on the concept of passage to the limit.

Just a specific example for clarity. Suppose there is an infinite sequence of numbers, each of which is two times smaller than the previous one, starting with one: 1, ½, ¼, ... So the limit of the numerical sequence (if it exists) is some specific value. In the process of dividing in half, each subsequent value of the sequence approaches a certain number indefinitely. It's not hard to guess that it will be zero.
